An Oasis in China

400 RMB for each ticket

A few days ago Kimi noticed that the band Oasis will be playing in Shanghai in April. Fortunately for me, Kimi actually quite likes some of their music (and I like The Beatles -- something which Oasis have always tried very hard to be), so after a brief discussion we booked a pair of tickets. I have never seen them live in Manchester before, which would have made more sense considering that is where they are from and I am from. It will be a strange experience seeing them in a city and country that is thousands of miles away from our own. I didn't think they had a huge Chinese fan-base, but it can't all be laowais filling out the stadium.

Ha! Hope you enjoy it! We can see many famous western bands/ DJ-ing shows in Hong Kong as we have many foreigners here. To be honest, I don't like HK pop songs, but I love Classical, western soundtracks, Dance and Rock...

I hope to attend a Music Festical "Rock AM Ring" in Germany one day! Cool!

Thanks for the comments. I only mentioned that I didn't think there would be many Chinese fans at the Oasis gig because at Web when I have mentioned the band to young people a couple of times, nobody has heard of them. Of course, I expect there to be a lot of Chinese fans, it is just surprising that Oasis are so popular outside of Europe.

Thanks for the heads up Alex. I meant to send you a reply after you posted, I was too distracted to reply! My dad just emailed me saying that the news of this was on BBC, I'm going to put it in my blog now. I couldn't believe it, just ridiculous. I was really looking forward to going to see them too.
